The NRCEN Five-Year Strategic Plan

Version 1.3 of the NRCEN Strategic Plan presents a roadmap based on consensus of 4th NRCEN conference participants on issues of concern to NSF centers’ program directors, principal investigators, and educationand outreach professionals.

These include:

  1. how to increase professionalism among E&O personnel in centers;
  2. how to increase collaboration and communication among E&O personnel across centers and disciplines;
  3. how to improve access to state-of-the-art E&O methods and model (best) practices; how to minimize duplication of effort;
  4. how to create and sustain internal and external partnerships;
  5. how to effectively reach the “broad and diverse” audiences NSF requires of its centers;
  6. and how to increase our ability to attract supplemental funding for other sources
